Mobile TVR inspection service needed
Discussion
I’m in the process of trying to source a mint Chimaera 500 or 450
I have owned a variety of performance cars but think I could benefit from someone who can discern an excellent car from a mediocre one, as I don’t really have the time or expertise to tinker with or restore a needy example.
I’ve heard there are various experts out there who offer a mobile inspection service for TVRs. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I noticed an advert on eBay from Phil Phedonos who seems to offer this service - has anyone on here experienced his work?
Thanks!

Phil is a decent chap and knows his stuff. I purchased my Chim 500 from him several years ago. Sales is not something he did a lot of, but he had, from memory, inspected the Chimaera for a client who purchased it and then a few months later upgraded to a supercar which Phil found for him, and I think took the Chim in as part of the deal.
Unless you are determined to buy privately, there are some decent dealers out there where you might not need a separate inspection carrying out. I recently purchased a Tamora from James Agger which they had pretty much fully rebuilt before selling it on and the car and aftersales service has been spot on. I would have no hesitation in recommending a car from James. The other big TVR Sales names like Str8Six and Amore have a good reputation for selling quality cars.
As ever with opinions regarding suppliers, there will be good and bad feedback about everyone.
