M door fittings
Discussion
I have removed the inner door panels to be re trimmed. There is a fixing screw in the door pull and then the panel is fixed with pointy things which press into plastic sleeves.
Also the bottom edge is fastened with several self tapper screws. Is this the correct way to do it? seems a bit heath robinson. Parts manual does not show how they are fitted.

There should only be pointy things. Problem is they rust horribly and the pointy bits break away from the little discs that actually do the holding. The whole shebang can be replaced with a plastic equivalent though. Avoid self-tapers 'cos it means you're drilling through all that unreplaceable vinyl.
The current TVR`s use the plastic version of these (and are available at your loacal TVR dealer) but all of the existing plastic cases that the old metal clip fits into needs to be removed as the plastic clip will only fit with these removed.
