SWM has been getting a large number of calls on her mobile phone, an iPhone 6S, the phone rings 3 or 4 times and then stops. The calls are all supposedly from African numbers, normally +222, +223, +235, or similar. I have been blocking the numbers, but presumably they have an unlimited number of numbers the callers can use.

Is there any way I can block all calls starting +2?

Or any other ideas?

In Android there is a Do Not Disturb mode, you can choose to allow calls from Contacts only - everything else goes to voicemail.

Does iphone have something similar?

I have selected - Settings - Phone - Silence Unknown Callers - on her phone. "Calls from unknown numbers will be silenced, sent to voicemail and displayed on the Recents list".

Which is, I think, the best I can do. These African numbers never ring long enough to trigger the Voicemail, they don't even ring long enough to answer them, and we are certainly not going to try calling them back.

Ideally I would like to block all the +2 numbers, but that doesn't seem to be possible, not without downloading an app.

I don’t think it’s possible
You can set do not disturb, except from contacts or repeat callers eg:-

Also this feature:-

I have set the "Silence Unknown Callers". Unfortunately hospitals call to confirm appointments on withheld numbers, so their calls will go to voicemail, so it's not perfect.
