The ones we use for business banking are turning to a steaming pile of turd.

HSBC has been on a downward decline for a few years. We only still use them because we have found nowhere better and cannot trust them not to lose our money if we try to move it. We moved some accounts to Barclays and between them they dropped the ball.

Barlcays - the wheels have fallen off more recently. 40 minute wait times to get through to business banking. It continually directs us to the business banking app. However, when we use the app chat it says they don't answer business queries!

We have a Nat West relationship. We have set up accounts. But they bksed that up so badly that the only balance in the accounts is the compensation they paid for making such a mess of the setup.

I know we have these threads here quite often, but what the actual fk is going on with the banks?

Maybe they've spent all their customer services money on interminably-repeated TV adverts saying how nice and helpful they are...

Anyway, why pay people when you can have 'FAQs' on a website?

I don't know the nature of your business or exact needs, but I'd recommend Monzo or Starling.
Also Lloyds have been good thus far.

Not tried Monzo or Starling. Perhaps we should.

We've used Lloyds twice. There won't be a third time.

Have heard a lot of good things about Handelsbanken - may be worth a look?

They don't like our business (real estate).

Our local branch has all the staff that used to be at HSBC, but were poor.

They quoted for our business and it was ££££, we didn't feel we would get good value.

Metrobank seems quite keen on new business (unlike the rest of them) but haven't tried them yet.

I'm with Metrobank after leaving HSBC who offered nothing and charged for it! No issues with metrobank.

Metro isn't here, sadly.

IIRC I think they use other high street banks for cash deposits etc.

Have used most over the years. HSBC laughably backwards, like something from the 80s. Barclays and Lloyds were bureaucratic and some Barclays features just did not work.

Now with Starling for business banking as are many colleagues and delighted.
