You don’t see the old saucy postcards so much these days, that was always a traditional thing & we used to love sending & receiving them.
The “chuckable” ones like this would be welcome too.
Basically...anything that isn’t too rude & can raise a smile. jester

Very true... Now they would either be covered up on the top shelf or an ‘under the. Counter’ job. mad
Ok, A bit Crude / rude or double innuendo... but where’s the harm in that.

Or maybe text messaging and Whatsapp. Who sends anyone a postcard these days? On holiday, your usually in constant touch with loved ones at home anyway.

Don't think you can blame "wokeness" - saucy postcards have been drifting away from popularity for at least 30 years.
I grew up in a seaside resort and as a kid they were everywhere on racks outside the shops. By the time i'd moved back they were nowhere to be seen, replaced entirely by scenic views and "cute" animals.

Now I work from home I do see a bit of day time tv first thing. I’m surprised but not offended that “ on the buses” , tales of the unexpected and George and Mildred etc are on. Actually ditto minder, sweeny etc. Although because I’m a bit sad : the minder FB group I’m part of , people keep saying there’s a lot chopped out.

Arthur asking Terry about his “birds” isn’t acceptable anymore it seems.

Perhaps Terry was a secret twitcher or bred Finches etc.
Watched Benny Hill over Christmas... but that came with a healthy ‘ acceptable at the time’ warning.

Not exactly a postcard, but seen in public nevertheless. On bus stop advertising panels in the 1970s, but it lasted only a few weeks before the Harpies complaints to the Advertising Standards had it removed.

No connection beyond a satisfied customer. Slightly ruder in places, too in on the joke at times but my wife's nephews love it when i send them Bday cards from here

https://www.thortful.com/cards/birthday

I think i sent "Happy Birthday! You are a C88T!" to one for his 21st and he took great delight in positioning it centre of the mantlepiece.

My wife's opinion of my intellect is low and her sisters lower yet!
