Anyone been to Tenerife in April?

Just booked to go over Easter, is it likely to be hot? Warm? All inclusive hotel, so all I really need is the pool and the bar, but hopefully it'll feel quite summery?

We have been at Easter at least 10 times and it’s always been great, mid 20s
Maybe a little cloud now and again but in general very good.

I was there last week and it was 23 every day, not a cloud in the sky.

Done Lanzarote in March and it was great in the afternoons when the sun got up.

Same here. Was very pleasant without being hot. No problems sitting outside in the evenings.

Been to Fuerteventura and Tenerife in March and both times been lovely. IIRC had one cloudy day.

Should be fine in April

I'm glad I read this post, we've just booked Fuerteventura for the end of March.
I was a little worried about the weather!
It's amazing how cold some counties are this time of the year.
We looked at Turkey but Brrrrrr!

Honestly, I think you could book the Canaries at any time of year and be happy. I imagine it's a bit hot for small kids in the summer, but the Mrs and I went in Nov/Dec last year, swam in the sea before breakfast every morning and lay out in the sun.

Thanks guys, finally getting excited about this year. Going skiing in March then this trip in April. I cannot remember the last time I even saw a beach, it's got to be 6 years or more.

We went Fuerteventura about 3 years ago now, same time April/ March and the weather was sound. The mrs was pregnant so weather wise it was perfect. 1 off day but rest of the time was lovely. Bit windy at times but i don't mind that as gives a break from the heat !

Another vote for jumper on evenings, if not for you then to ''lend'' to SWMBO forever the evening.

Agreed. Tenerife (South) pretty much has a perfect holiday destination climate. Winters are warm, summers are hot (but not too hot) and it hardly ever rains.

The Canaries are off the coast of southern Morocco. I think people picture them more northern than they really are.

I think we've been a 2 or 3 times in the past in April and it's been 'just-right'. Unheated pools at this time of the year are 'refreshing'.

We've booked 8 nights in April to Gran Canaria - hopefully it'll be a case of third time's a charm - Covid has seen our last two holidays cancelled by the operator. Our last holiday was to GC in April 2019.

Unheated pool? Oh, that's a bit disappointing. I'm not really a fan of a 'refreshing' pool!

In my experience, if you're at a hotel and they have 3 or 4 pools, normally at least 2 of them will be heated - to a comfortable temperature. It depends on occupancy levels I expect.

Siam Park is worth a visit for a day out if you're going to Tenerife.
