Not personally, but went along to a quiz show with my sister-in-law a few years back.

A quiz show with Dale Winton called I Am the Answer.

A quiz show that was so st, I think only one or two were ever shown. My sister-in-law was gutted her big moment bombed. hehe

My twin sisters were once on 'Crackerjack!' and on being handed a pen and pencil set as a prize one of them frowned and said "I've got one of those!" Way to go sis!

ETA - I applied for Master Chef and made it to 2nd auditions and also applied for Games Master as a kid and made it to the semi finals.

I've been wanting to apply for a while now.
I'm pretty good at the Chase and Catchphrase.
However pressures of studio, TV etc might be a bit different to being at home.
I should get my ass in gear and apply.

My mother and father went on "Mr and Mrs" in the early 60s. They got 3 out of 6 questions right and won £15, I think ( or was it £30).

Obviously caused an argument.... laugh

The closest I've got is in not being selected by my school when we had a team on Blockbusters, so I got to watch two of my classmates appear on TV instead.

Applications probably run into the millions, cetainly hundreds of thousands. I've tried umpteen times - the nearest I got was being asked to an audition for £100k Drop but it was only two days before the audition and I couldn't re-arrange my obligations. (Tight trousers).

I apply for every series of The Chase, Beat the Chasers, WWTBAM, even Mastermind with its massive prize. Silence. Computer says no.
