Good stuff. I like the advertising especially.

There is an interesting ad for 1/72 scale models by a company called Scalecraft - an name I am not familiar with. I expect they were wooden models.

The "Killed in Action" list is pretty sobering.

It is. I didn’t know W/Cdr George Stainforth was killed in action. Every boys hero at the time of the Schneider Trophy seaplane races of the 30’s.

Neither did I.

Boothman won the final Schneider Trophy race at 340mph but Stainforth went out a few days later and got the world record at 407mph.

It's good to see how much there is to read even in the adverts, too many magazines now consist of little more than extended picture captions.
