I'm sure I'm missing something very obvious. I've got a slide with a timeline on - 3 months with about 4 or 5 events per month. I have got each event hyperlinking to a discrete section. Some of the sections are single pages with a few text animations, some are up to 5 pages.

I know I can put an action button to return to the timeline. I'd like to keep the slides clean though and just be able to do a mouse click and return out of the section and back to the timeline.

Any easy way?

Could you get away with typing the slide number you want to return to? ie not mouse click but keyboard

That could work, although I was hoping to use a pointer/ remote so I can wander around whilst giving the presentation.

The boring, cheat action of course is to duplicate the slide you want to ‘return’ to and put duplicates in all the places (presumably at the end of each of the sections you hyperlink off to) and then you get the same visual effect by clicking forward.

You can put a transparent overlay over the whole slide (the final one of the section) which links to the timeline, so once you click anywhere on the slide it jumps back.

If I remember correctly, you have to make it 100% transparent, rather than 'no fill' otherwise you end up with nothing to clic.

Alternatively, make the 'jump to timeline' a feature of the slide with an appropriate graphic that has the clickable action to jump back.
