Motortrend on Demand
Discussion
I've been a fan of their programming since it was all on YouTube. When they moved to the app I followed them, then when the app stopped working in the UK I signed up for Prime to keep watching (after signing on for the Discovery+ app as advised and realising it only had half the back catalogue and no new episodes). Now the channel on Prime has stopped updating with the new episodes, I guess it's a licensing thing but the lack of updates and news about when episodes might be coming seems like a pretty s
te way to treat long time fans.
Anyway the point, has anyone been able to find any news on when the episodes might update? I've cancelled my sub for the moment but I would happily sign back up again if I knew there was episodes coming.
Also, yes I know I could set up a VPN and watch the US app or whatever but I'm lazy and just want to press a button on my TV to get them

I'm in Canada so the landscape is different here but here's what I understand.
We had a Discovery channel here called Velocity that used to be pretty good. it had the usual fake-deadline car resto shows with some bad acting and silly premises but that seems par for the course. It also used to have stuff like Fifth Gear, Wheeler Dealers and SH:CC. Then about a year ago something seemed to change. The only newish stuff aired on it was mostly from Motor Trend on Demand with an overdose of Roadkill and a lot of Freiburger stuff, which I cannot stand. The most recent series of WD did finally air, but some time later than it was available on MT on Demand.
MT on Demand itself seemed to go through some kind of crisis over the last year or so. It may have been due to the pandemic, I don't know. There is just a lot less of anything remotely interesting to me on there now. Lots of what I call "meathead" shows with guys doing dumb things. I made the mistake of renewing for a full year to get a cheaper rate, but when that expires I doubt if I will renew. I now only check it out once a month or so, and there is seldom anything of interest there when I do.
