Hydro Dipping A Tank

I've bought a black Street Triple than has had it's damaged tank replaced with a red one

So I can either paint it black or for the same price (circa £180) get it hydro dipped - carbon or similar

A quick google shows if done correctly, it should be long lasting

As I'll sell it on eventually, would a hydro dipped tank put you off buying (it's a Cat N so will be cheaper anyway) or would it make it more attractive as it's a bit different ?

Personally I'd want paint, I just think carbon hydro-dipping just looks cheap (which is it compared to having something made from carbon fibre).

It's your bike though so do what you want, if you prefer the carbon look do it, but be mindful that it may not appeal to others regardless of cat status.

I hate Carbon look. I like proper carbon, so paint for me.

it doesn't have to be carbon but just something that was a bit different to paint but blends in with the bike

I like satin black (and it's the one colour anyone can spray) fit a single headlight and keep it
