Has anyone looked long and hard at the opportunities around carbon offsetting projects? We know that reduction is obviously the best route to reduce CO2 etc, but some will be unavoidable until our industry sees substantial movements in alternative fuels etc.

Any recommendations who to speak to, use etc?

Are you looking at this because you have to or because you want to?

Before you start exploring offsetting, if you haven't already done so you need to acquaint yourself with what is actually meant by 'Zero Carbon'. At a regulatory level, we're talking CO2e - the e stands for equivalence. So methane has 22 or 23 times the impact of carbon. If you start offsetting carbon only, you may find yourself still way off target because you've not addressed everything else.

What sector are you in? I may be able to point you to someone.

It is a mixture of push and pull. We want to put sustainability at the heart of the business to be a different kind of business compared to our sector, but we are also at the stage of tripping over into being obliged to report on sustainability/carbon reporting.

We are technically in the packaging space, but we are not a manufacturer ourselves, rather design and distribution.
