Hargreaves Landsdown Active Savings Account
Discussion
Like most, I would think, I’m fighting a losing battle with getting any returns on the cash element of my portfolio.
I’ve been looking into a savings account with HL that basically offers a suite of different savings accounts with different providers for a mix of durations where you can pick and choose without the hassle of opening a new account to chase 0.2% uplift of what I’m currently getting.
As an example 1 year duration with Investec, £1000 minimum at 1.33%. Not earth shattering but better than the 0.5% 1 year I’m currently sat with.
There’s numerous other options on durations and providers.
No platform fees as they recoup through the providers.
Any one using it or similar?

I've used it since it came out. I have isa, sipp and lisa with them so makes it more convenient having everything in one place.
Rates are competitive (obviously terrible everywhere) but means saves any faff opening new accounts with banks to earn very little and let's me stagger cash savings so they're still earning a little and can be released in stages for recommiting or spending depending on what comes up.
