How much does your Ultima weigh?

I got my custom alignment and corner weight done yesterday and found that my Ultima GTR weighs 2010lbs (911.7 kg) without me in it. Another Ultima owner told me his weighs 2350. Is my car so light because I dont have the front roll bar hoop? no A/C? G50 trans? How much does your Ultima weigh?

Have you got an alloy block or a cast iron?

Mine is 1070Kg
Has whole rear roll bar double skinned and sound deadening all over the place.

that is light if its full of fluids (probably 100kgs all in).... on the corner weight machine my canam just topped 1000kgs full of fuel but without me in it.
We weighed Clives GTR and that was 1040ish kgs with empty tanks. both had steel block alloy heads and porsche box.
Mine had stereo and a lot of sound deadening which would have added 30kgs.

my can-am was 970kg at sva with 2 full tanks of fuel and tester sat in it !!!! very light i think,no air-con but full screen .

My GTR was 1021 kg at SVA with the tester sat in it and full of fuel (no AC but all the other usual trimmings).

I don't know how good the scales are at the SVA?
I think that with full fuel and a chevy you'd be hard pressed to get a GTR below 1000kg let alone with a person sat in it.

Same scale used to measure the wieght of trucks, as most SVA stations are Truck centres.... Unless the Factory are now selling alot lighter cars than before I would say any GTR with a Iron chevy would be at least 1000kgs with no fuel and no driver.... try some calibrated race car scales....

My corner weight was done on calibrated race car scales. I went to see another Ultima owner a few days ago and his body was MUCH heavier. I also do not have the full roll cage. (911.7 kg) half fuel

The fact that your running Hoosier RS03's instead of regular street rubber is shaving off a few pounds.
The lack of an oil cooler,accumulator system and A/C are worth quite a few Kg's.

I remember the Ultima factory supplies two versions of the body, the standard and a lightweight GRP body. The lightweight version saves 40Kg.

Anyone with a GTR near Washington, DC? I know Mark owns a Can-Am. But I would like to get a ride in a GTR.

Hey Mike! I remember you... I blew my chevy 383 (probably the lack of an oil cooler). I'm having an reliable GM performance parts 385 fastburn put in this week. Ill be at Pocono with EMRA and PDA in the next two weeks. When will you be there next?


Yes I am a very brave American... with no AC no window vents and wearing fire protection on a 90 degree day! I finally bought a dremel and cut out holes for the window vents (i'll be able to breath fresh air now)
