Leather slice repair

My car seat in v70 has collapsed so I’ve got a seat bottom from another cars passenger seat that I’m going to fit. It doesn’t look it in the picture but it’s in great condition apart from a 3 inch long slice that’s gone maybe halfway through the leather.

As it hasn’t gone through how would I repair or at least stop it splitting through.

It has a few indentations but this is the one i mean.

You could possibly glue it with a coloured glue of some form. Won't look amazing but will stop it getting any worse.
