Apologies if this has been covered in recent topics, looking to import an over 50 year old car from Italy. Does anyone know a trust worthy company to give a quote, looking for a turn key service that’s does everything from collection to registration in one price package, hopefully I just have to buy new number plates. Obviously is this is not offered then looking for much of the hassle and paperwork to be covered as much as possible. Any pitfalls since brexit? It’s all a bit daunting atm.

Never used this guy in the end but had a chat around 67/yrs ago when I was looking at possibly importing an Alfa. I remember he was restoring a Pantera at the time so definitely an enthusiast !

Depending on the car there are schemes to get 0% import duty 5% VAT.

i have used these guys twice now.

Once a number of years ago to bring an Alfa 155 from Netherlands - no issues.

2021 to bring over a Lancia Fulvia from USA, slight damage to minor trim, etc but no major issues.

Not cheap to use a "professional" but certainly less hassle as I can find more productive uses for my office time.

I used these guys to bring my Ferrari back from the UAE to the UK....
All I'll say is check the relevant UK documentary requirements very carefully as "the regulations change all the time and we can't be expected to know them all"
Took the personal intervention of the head of Ferrari Northern Europe to get it all sorted.

Yes decided to go them, not the cheapest quote I had but it was a immediate quote and they do everything including sending you the period number plates. All the rest were slow in replying and didn’t give me much confidents and didn’t have all included.

Thanks for all the reply’s
