Car NCB for bike?????????

Anyone know if there is anyone would would accept my car NCB for insuring a bike. Been away from the bike for 3 years now and the old NCB is now worthless!!

Different companies do it different ways, i think there is something in the rules somewhere that says you can transfer your no claims from bike to car but not from car to bike. I may be wrong though.

Unfortunately, I think you won't be in luck. Car NCBs generally don't count towards bike insurance. You're back to the usual insurance reduction measures (Cat. 1 alarm, advanced training, garage) or else just get older!

Well getting to my mid 30's so dont really need the older option.

Shame as i swapped bike insurane for a car a few years ago.

looks like i will have to stick with a plodder 600 till i can get a few years bonus under my belt.

I guess there is alwasy the TPTF option, not so attractive if the bike is worth more than £5k.

Does anyone know what companies do it the other way round? I'm using my bike about once a fortnight if I'm luck and it might be better if I transfer it.
