eBay selling limits, any way round them?
Discussion
I'm a private seller looking to sell a woodworking machine. Wrote out the listing and went to post it only to be told that it was over my £3,500 limit. I looked at the relevant help pages but the answers implied that I was selling as a business (I'm not) and that they wanted to ensure I could give a good service to my customers, therefore the limit.
How do people who are selling cars manage? Or perhaps the limits don't apply to the motors section?

Hmm tricky
If it were me I’d put it on a 10 day auction and have a picture of a bit of paper with the price and your phone number on it, savvy buyers will know the score (cancel it on say day 8.5)
Try to avoid eBay messaging to arrange viewings, eBay may read them and suggest that you are avoiding fees and charge you a large final value fee

This is exactly what scammers do on Ebay - OP - do not do this.If it were me I’d put it on a 10 day auction and have a picture of a bit of paper with the price and your phone number on it, savvy buyers will know the score (cancel it on say day 8.5)
