I’ve owned and restored several British classics over the years, a couple of TR’s, a S2 E-Type, an Austin Healey 3000 and my current car- a S1 3.8 E-Type.
The 3.8 has had the most extensive restoration, ground up with everything restored, replaced or upgraded. I’m now thinking about my next project. Something German for a change - a 911 or SL?

Can anyone help I need some advice on a vehicle jag ctype VPC712 location and owner, this vehicle was owned many years ago by my father in law who is 87(today) and I would love for home to have one last ride in the car. This may not be the correct forum but I would be grateful of any info. This car has lots of history and I believe was driven at good Wood by sterling moss. It would be amazing to get him one last ride. Any help greatly appreciated
Regards matt

I’m pretty much the same bloke as you having played and restored Etypes and TR’s etc.

BUT my advice would be to keep away from Merc, great cars but over engineered and very very expensive on parts.

An early 911 (though still expensive on parts) is far simpler in terms of engineering
