Meeting your daughter's boyfriend (or girlfriend's dad)
Discussion
First time I met my girlfriends parents she ushered me past them and took me straight upstairs. I proceeded to give her a good shafting in the bedroom upstairs then came downstairs to find them both sitting there, having listened to the whole thing. It seemed a good idea at the time but now I’m older I can’t help but think the dad by rights should have booted me out for doing that.

That made me chuckle far more than it should.
Reminds me of a great story a friend of mine told a group of us when recounting ‘most embarrassing moments’ in the pub.
It was about the first time he went to stay with his girlfriend’s parents at their large, expensive house. They were having afternoon tea in the garden room, and he needed the loo really badly. So he excuses himself and, wanting to avoid any embarrassing smells downstairs, headed for an upstairs loo.
He finishes his business and having taken the last of the loo paper and wanting to appear polite, takes a new roll to replace it. Only as he does, he fumbles it and drops the entire roll in the (unflushed) loo. Not wanting to block the loo, he decides to fish it out with the handle of the loo brush, and in doing so rather mixes the contents of the bowl. Whereupon he realises there’s no bin or anything to actually put it in.
Now panicking slightly he has a brainwave, opens the window and just chucks it out. Problem solved. Calming himself, he washes his hands, neatens his hair and heads back downstairs. Only as he enters the garden room, he see his girlfriend and parents staring up at the glass roof. On which is sat a soggy, white and brown object, slowly oozing dirty fluid down the panes…

A young, newly turned professional rugby player, me that is, not her. My Dad drops me off (taxi home) outside her home, my recently fitted tooth drops out of my mouth getting out of the car, rugby related loss, shoddy dental work. Meeting my first girlfriends mum and dad for the first time in a house that cost more than all the houses on the estate I was from and the estate wasn’t shoddy. Spent 15 minutes outside the house in the dark looking for my tooth, couldn’t find it, knocked on the door, mother let’s me in. Couple of aperitif and father says I have my own dental practice I can sort that missing tooth for you. Oh how we laughed, fixed the tooth and made the best ever gum shield at the same time. Taxi home not required that night, I was invited to stay, girlfriend accidentally ended up in my room.

I once asked my then girlfriends Father's permission to marry her, as they were a bit posh and it was the done thing. He said no and her Mother burst into tears, screaming No, no, no ! It's fair to say they didn't like me
When I did that, (in a language I wasn’t fluent in), my FiL thought I was asking to marry him, so proceeded to say “no”

Upon realising my mistake, I corrected my words, only to be asked how much money, (dowry), his little girl was worth to him

I remember when I first met my wife's dad. She was due to pick me up from the train station however when arranging the pickup the phone kept breaking up so all I got out was "uncle" and "van". I get to the station and she's sat there waiting in a van with who I presumed was her uncle based on the call. Chatting away all good and didn't bat an eyelid when he stayed for tea as that is a normal thing. He didn't say anything or demonstrate any behaviour which made it clear that he was her dad and nor did anyone else. He is still there at 11ish when he announced he was going to bed and went upstair with her mum (who had been clearly introduced to me). I was extremely surprised/disturbed by this and wondering who the hell I had got myself involved with. I had to ask her and was very thankful when she just laughed and said no he's my dad and explained that he'd borrowed her uncle's van for the day for some work he had going on! I was so relieved and obviously it has gone ok as we are now married.

Try being gay, ive got to introduce a potential boyfriend to my mum at some point, cant see it going well..
As an upside, there's no risk of an unwanted pregnancy.Parents just want their kids to be happy + safe, hopefully she'll surprise you with a good reaction.
