BMW Audio upgrades

So as per my other thread I’ve bought a 2017 g30 5 series. The only compromise was that it came with base audio, if it’s anything like our old f10 it’s not that great.

I’ve seen that HK tweeters and front speakers can be retrofitted, there are Focal upgrades for around £300. I’m not sure what to do! I do know I don’t want to be spending silly money though.

any recommendations on upgrades, please?

Unfortunately you will have to spend some money, but it depends on what you are trying to achieve, changing the door speakers to Focals makes little difference.

Cheapest option, tweeters front and rear, and add an amp to power front & rear speakers and what BMW describe as underseat subs. The system is woefully underpowered adding something like the JL XD700 will be quite enhancing. This can then be used on any future cars.

Last car, I swapped to Focal Speakers, powered it all and added 500w JL sub in boot in custom box in the side pocket, world's apart from what you have or an HK system. It could do with 6" fronts, but i never took the plunge with the custom door pods.
