With absolutely no chance of ever getting off it, but plenty of food to eat, such as fruit, how long would it be before you went mad/topped yourself?

I'd love someone to pay me to test how long I'd last...

I'd be happy in a room alone, food and drink and a small box of Lego, I think I'd be fine.

Probably quite a while if I knew there was no chance of getting away. If I was constantly trying to escape and failing because ultimately it was impossible, I'd probably go a bit loopy in short order.

So long as i had rudimentary tools so could build a shelter and the water was warm enough to bathe in, indefinately.

Absolutely zero chance of getting off it? And, presumably, absolutely zero chance of anybody ever joining me?

In which case it's similar to a tree falling in a forest. If I did top myself, and nobody could ever know, am I really dead? In fact it's all a bit Schrodinger if you ask me. Until anybody came to check I'd just be a quantum wave function gently baking in the tropical sun.

After just a couple of weeks most would start experiencing varying degrees of cabin fever and depression.

As a species we crave companionship. Without it we’d go slowly mad.

Sounds like my life of the past 6 years.

In which case I'd probably masterbate less as I'd have nice beaches to walk on.

It all depends.
Are there any venomous indigenous creatures on this island? If so, about 10 minutes after seeing the first one and i'd probably go play with the sharks.
If not, then i guess quite a while as i enjoy my own company just fine thanks

This and that even goes for the folk who think they would be fine.

I'm an introvert so it would be much like now except I wouldn't have to deal with people, and I'd live on a beach. It sounds like bliss.

Optimists assuming it'll be a nice white sand beach not a an exposed rocky cliff face within the arctic circle smile
