I've been doing courier work throughout lockdown and looking for a change of scenery, always enjoyed towing so considering buying a reasonable 4x4/van and a car trailer and trying to start in the car transport world.

Main question would be where do you find work? Is it a matter of cold calling car showrooms and offering services, or is there a platform that's best to find work?

Thanks.

This market has been flooded by people with small 3.5t low loaders and trailers quoting on Shiply

At present, IMO, there’s no money in it unless you go high end and have built a (very, very) good reputation with high end car dealers and service centres.

One-Man-band with a trailer behind a 4x4? You’ll struggle.

Thanks for the honest advice, it's appreciated.

I did suspect that may be the case, and having seen the way shiply is run with courier loads there's no point trying to make a living in it.
