Hi,
I got a Tesco Hudl 2 given to me for free.
It is somehow stuck in demo mode,
I have tried everything, "safe mode" etc, "power on and volume down" but still not going into full running.
Can I have it "flashed" so it can run any generic Android ?

It is in theory possible, but it was a fairly unloved device and thus didn’t have much attention from the modders community. It’s getting on for 7 years old now. XDA Forums would be the place to look if you want to try and sift around.

Honestly, I would wait until a bank holiday and get a £35 Amazon fire tablet. Whilst budget, it would be a marked improvement over anything the hudl can do.

It wasn't so much it was unloved but more the fact it had a locked bootloader so development for it was impossible (and even when Tesco announced they were no longer supporting the device they wouldn't allow the bootloader to be unlocked) Real pity as they have cracking screens and are a manageable size.

I've still got mine, still one of the best tablets I had for its time - was so handy with the HDMI output when travelling using it to plug into hotel TV's
