Help!

I’m sure this is simple and someone knows off the top of their head.

Due to illnesses and absences I’ve been lumped with doing a CPC code….

We are a UK manufacturer and exported a piece of scientific farming equipment to Norway last year.

This equipment needs to be shipped back to us in the UK for modification due to confusion about the required specification with the customer. The modification will be done free of charge.

We will modify then send it back.

What is the CPC code (7 digits?) for the return to us from Norway?

Many thanks

Pragmatic answer seeing that nobody else has had a go... did it have one the first time you sent it? If so use that.

Any use? https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-trad...

Yep thanks I had a look at that page and couldn’t really see an applicable code. If there was an original code that was just for a straight export rather than a warranty repair.

Maybe just treat it as an export again? It worked the first time and it's the same product (just that no money is changing hands).

Couldnt you do it as british return goods
Then re export
It normally as 100001 normal export

Is it coming back for a second time?
Whats the value?

Whats the tariff number?
Might be duty free anyway

Thanks

It has a value of £9000

Not sure on the tariff number but should be tariff free I think same as the EU?

It’s been exported once, needs to come back to the uk for free of charge repair, then be re exported.

Your import contact at your forwarder should know this
If he doesn’t.
Then your not using the right one

My best guess is

5100000 or 5100001. Ipr
Look at a copy of your export entry
See what the tariff no was and then look on uk customs tariff

When it gos back out
Make sure the awb has. Being returned to Norway after repair in uk etc on it.

Basic stuff to a knowledgeable forwarder
They’ve no need to ask you
