They go on to report....

I live in a Conservation Area, but by no means in an enormous house.

Used the nationwide average house price converter and 88K (bottom of the band) is equivalent to 410k today.

Group F here - standard 4-bed. What an utter joke.

We already pay more than everybody else in lower-band 4-beds; not as if we get gold-plated bins or a secret handshake when they're collected.

Yes, I am in band E (3 bed extended to 4 bed link detached) so I don’t get the £150 (that tbh I don’t really need)

My brother who earns twice what I do is band D and although he also doesn’t really need it he does qualify…

So, I don’t really understand why it has been done this way….? If there’s anomalies like this very close to home then surely there will be many, many out there who get it when they don’t need it and those who do who will miss out. There must have been a better way

I think there may be some form of means testing... He mentioned medium income levels

Will be dealing with this now.... Will find out more soon
