BBC reporting on: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-60236456 In England, households in council tax bands A to D will get a £150 discount from April.
They go on to report....

Yes, I am in band E (3 bed extended to 4 bed link detached) so I don’t get the £150 (that tbh I don’t really need)
My brother who earns twice what I do is band D and although he also doesn’t really need it he does qualify…
So, I don’t really understand why it has been done this way….? If there’s anomalies like this very close to home then surely there will be many, many out there who get it when they don’t need it and those who do who will miss out. There must have been a better way
