Hi Pistonheads

This is my first ever post.

I have just bought a 2010 Toyota Hilux 3.0 D-4D Invincible
Double Cab Pickup 4dr and wanted to know what is best product to use on my chassis Dinitrol or Waxoyl ?

I live in St Albans and need a good independent specialist to look after my tuck.

Sorry I forgot to mention I need to find a workshop to apply the rust treatment.

All reply’s will be much appreciated as I’m new on here and also new to the Hilux world !

Welcome to the forum. I’m sure someone will be along to recommend the best product but if you need a workshop in your area it might be worth asking in the local forum for your area that is further down the gassing station page. People tend to know all the local places then.

We had a brand new Hilux (same as yours but 2007) treated at Rustmaster which is situated in the lanes between St Albans and Hatfield, don't know if they are still going.

Depends how rusty the chassis is already, i wouldn't be putting either of those straight on an already rusting chassis, the rust needs rubbing down and wire brushing as best you can then treating with a rust neutraliser, then treating, and then inspect every year and top up any sections showing signs of flaking or lifting.
This won't be a cheap process unless you DIY it, some £450 then for full inside and outside proofing with no cleaning or prep work involved.

Equally important is getting some treatment into the nooks and crannies and support sections of the pick up bed.

Good choice of pick up, regular oil changes and it'll last donkeys years.
HPOC is worth seeking out.
