Wing mirror loose

Hi folks, just got my new chim and very pleased is an understatement, but my drivers side wing mirro is about to fall off and I'm searching in vain as to how to get it off and tighten everything back up without breaking it. PS having read stuff on hear I'm buggered if I can find that grub screw thingy????? Any help muchly appreciated

It's explained in words and pictures in Steve Heath's book, available from various places including TVRCC. No Griff/Chimaera owner should be without a copy imo.

These things are always coming loose on Chims, judging by the number of threads on the same subject. Bloody useless design & so fiddly to get to, to correct.

After reading loads of threads on here from past years I opted to lifting the little black plastic cover and drilling a hole for a small self tapping screw as the grub screw when found, was impossible to get to. Self tapper in and looking solid. Sweeet as

Check out the ones that have replaced with the later VW mirrors :-)
