Hi All,

The company I work for has acquired a company in France. We have a load of old equipment that they would like for spares, which is fairly bulky and wouldn't ship well on a pallet.

On the other hand, I can get it in a van and drive it over there.

However with Brexit, I assume we need to export it from the UK and import it into France - but is this required when no sale is involved? All assets are owned by the group, and would remain that way!

If anyone has any experience here I'd appreciate your input.

Thanks!

Hi. Stick it on a pallet
Get a quote do a packing list and invoice email it to your forwarder and stick on package

Make sure you put something like
FOC
No commercial value goods not for resale
Intra company stock
Value for customs purposes £100.

It’ll need clearing still but your taxes won’t be much at all

No decent packaging and delicate (but extremely heavy & bulky) IT gear. Simpler to stick in a van. Also affords the opportunity to view their DC estate which will help long term! The thing that's complicating matters is the gear belongs to the company, and isn't being sold at this point, or am I missing something?
