Hi guys, think I may have a problem on my Mk1 GT3 (2000, 30k miles).

Got a competition clutch and lwt flywheel fitted when I bought the car. After about 1.5k miles I noticed a problem - lot of noise and more vibration than I'd expected...spoke to Steve at JZM and he correctly diagnosed a loose sleeve, causing the clutch to only go halfway down intermittently + noise/vibration. I returned the car to the dealer, who fixed it (though their partner garage - place up in Rushden nr Northampton).

The clutch now works ok (had a new release bearing and the sleeve re-fitted/locktited), but I'm concerned about the following:

1. Buzzing noise and vibration - seemingly from the flywheel (especially on a trailing throttle after accelerating - around 3 to 4k RPM in 3rd/4th/5th/6th gear)
2. Vibration under hard acceleration (6k RPM +, high speeds in 3rd+ gear)

I know the single mass flywheel arrangement is prone to rattle etc. (which is fine by me!) at low RPM, but I'm nervous of the buzzing/rattling noise...can anyone out there comment on this? I've booked the car into JZM for a full check-up in 2 wks, but I'm v interested to have views in the meantime as to whether this sounds normal, and if not, what's wrong.

I'm about to put a Manthey K400 on the car and start using it 'in anger' on trackdays etc...but if there's a mechanical problem there I'd rather hold off that until I'm sure the car's OK
