attension all 02/03 yamaha R1 riders

trying to do a bit of a tidy up on my rear end which envolves stripping out the old indicators and number plate. do I need to cut the old indicator wires or is there a plug connection hidden somewhere, and how on earth are you meant to be able to take of the rear fairing is there a misterious bolt that i have missed nay help wuold be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!
