One of our Google Home speaker's will often take 10-15 seconds to respond, sometimes more- we have 500mbps internet so it does have a good connection, and the one we have upstairs further away from the router works instantly. Tried resetting it to no avail- it's not that old, maybe 18 months but is out of warranty. Any ideas of what else to try?

Swap the two and see if the problem moves with the speaker or is location related.

Any smart speaker I put on my bedside table is slow to respond - it isn't the speaker, it is a place with poor signal. Put it on the other side of the bed (further from the AP) and it is fine.

Thanks, I will try that- putting my phone next to the speaker I got the below earlier- although appreciate it may still have poor signal. Although it's always been in the same spot.

One of ours does it, the one in the Kitchen. Sometimes its instant sometimes takes 30 seconds.

Thinking of replacing it with a hub anyway.

Odd - I haven Google Home mini which is slow to respond and always does the wrong thing. Even when I am stood near it and ask it to do something one of the other devices in a different room will respond first which is very annoying.

For example if I am stood in the lounge and I say "Ok google lights on" its less will sorta flashing and the device in the kitchen will turn on the kitchen lights...

Can you look at its performance on your router
I found some of ours have very good up/ down speeds whilst some others are a lot less
And it isn't distance either in our case.
