body work suggestions

If ya'll have a looksee at my profile you'll rpobably guess what I'm gonna be asking.

The heasdlights were converted by Team Central but it looks like they're lego, hot-swappable plugins. What would I be up for to get the seals filled in so that it all looks flush - all part of the side panels. Ya know what i mean?

Where would be a good place to get a quote? (Im in SW London but dont mind travelling a bit)

Oh dear oh dear - did you know they were going to use "plug-ins" before they did the job ?

The guy/s who ran Team Central caused me grief before they went bust (yet again).

No, the previous owner had them done. Never really bothered me before but the more I look at them the more I wanna sort it out.

Any decent body shops around?

Austec are down near Gatwick and come quite highly recommended!

Speak to Eddie 4.2 he's got a bodyshop in SE London and does headlight conversions.

Might be better than dealer prices. He's just repainted his Cerb orange.

OK, I'll bite: that's a nice looking Chim you have there. I'm curious about the splitter - it does look the part, especially with the headlight mod (though the blended pods would be better I agree! - but then I would ). Did you fit it, and/or do you know where it came from? The wheels look good too - as a whole it looks fit.

Thanks Mr Meldrew, always nice to hear good things from good people. ;-) Not a bad motor yourself....

Previous owner had the headlights, wheels and splitter done. I think the splitter was from a company called G.R.S (Or something like that. Can ask him if your keen) and he fitted it himself. Very easy aparrently.

Sorry champ, I love the lights but not the white silocone seals around them (why white???? really....)

Just want them to blend in is all.

Cant help with the light thing, but I like the way your wheels fill the arches better than the standards - any issues with clearance/handling and have you any details on them?

Thanks Scott, still a newbie TVR'er so still enjoying (??) finding out about all its quirks and quimms. LOVE IT!

Splitter was already fitted by previous owner. IIRC it was supplied by a company called G.R.S. (mark, if your out there....???) and he fitted it himself.

No problems so far Robertp, seems to stick to the road like GLUE! Taking her out for my first hairy scary spin this weekend so will let you know if anything 'comes up'. (wish me luck)
What info you want on them?
17" Azev Alloys (deeper dish on rear) on Avon Rainsport rubber. IIRC 215/40/17 up front and 225/45/17 out back.

It's a different motor, bought it privately. I've not seen another conversion in my area (NW), certainly gets some attention at TVRCC meets.

As these things go - I have seen alot worse - you did'nt have to buy it like that (could have bought a different on) - I'd save the cash and spend on making it go faster or stop and loose the Aweful MaxPower front spoiler (put the std small on on - it is not great - but only over 140 do these things get a bit floaty at the front.

It people are pointing at you - you wan them to be pointing - saying cool car - not wondering if they are saying look at that cool car that some maxpower muppet has got hold of.

This is you Que to tell me to Bugger Off - AS YOU FITTED IT!

Why buy a different one..? If the rest of the car is solid then it's a good buy. Just because you don't like one thing, doesn't mean you can't change it. Buying the "perfect" car second hand isn't something that is easily achieved - especially given the bespoke nature of TVRs...
