Travelling to Abu Dhabi 2022
Discussion
Hi,
We’re looking at trying to book for this years Abu Dhabi GP.
Etihad airways normally do package deals that are pretty good value, but their website hasn’t been updated since last year, so we’re looking at alternatives. I’ve done some googling and found an excellent looking package from a company called Motor Sports Travel. Has anybody on here used this company and would you recommend? Their FB reviews seem excellent.
Thanks!

I don’t know that company in particular, but if they’re a British company, make sure they are members of ATOL and ABTA, and pay with a credit card rather than a debit card.
A more general point, until the pandemic travel rules in various places are well and truly over, I’d always book a ‘package’ trip with the event mentioned, so that the flights and hotel bookings would automatically change if the event date changes.
I will probably be at Abu Dhabi, it’s my ‘home’ race, so long as the FIA sort themselves out this year. I tried to organise a PH meetup this year but it didn’t get anywhere. Maybe I’ll try again in ‘22. It’s a great event to attend by the way, lots to do there.

Thanks, I’ve checked they’re ATOL registered and they are. Not sure about ABTA, will double check. I’m looking forward to it that’s for certain!
