EE Changing Contract T+C's - can they do it unilaterally?
Discussion
I have an old contract with EE which is a 1 month rolling contract, and the T+C's are (from memory) that it increases each year by CPI. The newer contracts are CPI +3.9%. Today I have received an email saying they are changing the T+C's to move from the CPI increase to CPI +3.9%, or I can leave with no charge.
I guess that because the contract is a 1 month rolling thing, and they are giving me the opportunity to leave before the T+Cs change I have no legal leg to stand on, but can they just unilaterally change the T+C's of the contract?
If so, what is stopping me writing them a letter saying I am only going to pay 75% of the agreed contract price unless they respond within 28 days or cancel the number? A contract is both ways, even if I am buying from them.

Just call them and renogiate a better price. If you can’t agree, cancel and move.I guess that because the contract is a 1 month rolling thing, and they are giving me the opportunity to leave before the T+Cs change I have no legal leg to stand on, but can they just unilaterally change the T+C's of the contract?

I’m not sure what else you are wanting to do. The contact is only for one month, so both parties can change the terms or cancel at the end, and both options are available.
It seems that yes they can do it and they do, it's not just EE either, Virgin Media did it to me with my Broadband contract, I am mid 18 month contract and they would still let me walk away with no penalty if I didn't accept the price increase, I looked around and it was still near enough competitive,
