Afternoon folks - my mother-in-law is keen to get rid of her old modus as she's had a few hefty bills and niggly problems and is quite taken by the idea of the potential of a hassle free car for a smallish monthly fee.

I've floated the idea of a sandero as an option as it looks like that would be around 150 a month but is that a good choice or are there other cheap (and maybe cheerful) options? Probably looking at 3 years with around a £2k deposit.

I think it would be hard to pass a Sandero for VFM.

BUT with a £2K deposit i'd go for a 2.8% APR bank loan from the likes of Tescos rather than a 5.9% APR loan over 4 years with Dacia.

At £169ish a month she'd own it after 5 years rather than be handing it back after four years or pay quite a high residual.

Theres approx £1,000 of interest savings in doing it that way.

Cheers guys - I had thought about the mg3 but the sandero for similar (or less) looks a better bet. I forgot about the 7 year warranty on the Kia's, that might be a good option for used.
