As above .
I'm getting new tyres for my Leon fr..
Yeas I do like to drive my car fairly hard and I use a lot of b roads..

Will be running 225 40 18
I was looking at michellin pilot sport 4.
But cost brought me to good year eagle f1 as5 . And now seen I can get f1 as6!!
Both of which I can get for 60 quid a set cheaper than the ps4. I've seen ps5 is out but they are big money

Now the big question.. I have seen you can now get eagle f1 supersport.. I am considering these.. but what's the wet weather performance like compared to the f1 as5? I cant find any comparisons for that
I do 40miles a day in every weather. So I'd like to know which is best it wet weather.. and how's the performance of the SuperSports in the wet/ how long they actually last.. as seen the comparable to the park which everyone loves

Cheers

tyrereviews.com is the answer.

Find one of them by brand & look at the "all tests" tab.

I can't help with a comparison SS vs AS5 how ever, I moved from the pilot sport range to the supersport. PS tyres are brilliant but I prefer the SS. Whilst I don't ever really push hard in the wet, I doubt you'll have any problems with the SS. Cracking tyre. The wear on them is good. No complaints.

As suggested, Tyre reviews. There's a direct comparison between the Pilot Sport 4S and the F1 Supersport to with plenty of AS5 reviews amongst it's direct competitors.

I have recently put a pair of Goodyear Supersports on the rear of my Cayman S, replacing a pair of fairly lightly worn Michelin PS4S due to one having an unrepairable puncture. I haven't driven them in anger in the wet yet, but I have driven them in the wet and they are fine, no issues at all and feel quite similar to the PS4S. I still have the PS4S's on the front and the balance of the car remains the same so I think they are certainly worth it for the money, and more.

The void ratio is lower on the SS than on the Asym 5 so my assumption is that the latter may dispel water a little better. But there will be Othe factors of course.

I have the GY SS on the M2 and the Assym 5 on the Clio and while tricky to compare I think they are both great overall. At least as good as the equivalent Michelins. I would watch this for a decent review:
