Short term gap car inspiration

Evening folks, just looking for some inspiration really, I've just ordered a Polestar 2 which is due to arrive in May, I want to sell my current M135i ASAP as I've had an unbelievable offer for it.
Im thinking about what to buy as a stop gap. Now this is very vague, it can be petrol, diesel, saloon, estate, 4x4, SUV - Anything really as long as it has four doors and can handle general family duties (no pillarless coupes or RX8's
)
I'd like something spacious, comfortable, reliable and reasonably modern (need bluetooth built in, bluetooth streaming built in). On top of that then, comfort, a bit interesting and presentable enough. Bit if performance or great MPG would be nice, mixture of both even better.
One thing that's really desirable is the ease of which I can move it on when the Polestar turns up. Maybe something a bit rare would help here?
Budget? Not really sure, ideally around £3k but could go up to around £6k but this is the absolute max and I'd prefer to keep it well below £5k. Sort of cars I've thought about V50 D5, V70, 320D Touring, 159 wagon, Phaeton, Touareg etc.

I'd buy something popular that the general public want, I think rare cars are usually harder to punt on as they have a more limited market.
I'd say something German, low tax, ULEZ compliant, under 100,000 miles, ideally an SUV - unfortunately, you won't find anything like that for £6000.
