Hi there I need to decide on a PTS colour for a 992 GT3 and have narrowed it down to the colours above and I wondered if anyone in the East Midlands area had a car in any of the colours above that they would be kind enough to let me see in the metal. I’ve done paint down metal swatches but TBH I’m none the wiser and every OL image / video just confuses me even more as they just all look so different.

Alternatively any images that you think are genuinely representative would be much appreciated.

In the image the top colour is not in contention - it’s the green Taycan colour that I can’t remember the name of.

Middle row left is Amethyst Metallic / Right is Oak Green Metallic

Bottom row is L to R

Forest Green Metallic / Dark Olive Metallic / Jet Green Metallic

Amethyst Met , Forrest Met and Dark Olive Met all look very dark in the images flat on the top - when the light hits them on the vertical plane they all pop brighter.

Thanks in advance smile

Jet green metallic would get my vote especially with aurum alloys.
That would look mental

Amethyst Met gets my vote. Green was the new black, but it is getting a bit overdone in my opinion. Purple is the new black.

Sorry cannot help directly, but have you looked at Rennbow?

Also, a friend had a 996 in Forest Green Metallic (I think, it's a long time ago now) and in reality it looked fantastic.

Forest Green?

In the Taycan thread a member (21ATS) just bought an oak green Taycan.

He posted a few pictures of it and it looked quite different at dusk on a truck to in the showroom etc. I think most colours do.

In that thread someone also posted a picture of forest green on a 992 I think. Out of the greens it's my favourite, but not convinced it suits pork.

Amethyst is great but does look very dark under many lights.

It seem you've narrowed it down to only Metallic PTS colours.
For me personally it would be Irish Green which is lighter and iconic.

BTW congrats on securing a PTS 992GT3 slot.thumbup

I'd throw Oak Green Met into the mix. Originally a Porsche colour. Jet Green looks amazing too.

Oak Green is stunning on a Touring but not so much on the winged GT3 IMO. Of the ones above I think Jet Green suits the winged GT3 best.
If a metallic colour isn't essential then Irish Green is my personal fav.

I have a panamera turbo in Jet green, can easily email over some pics as I don't have an image hosting account anymore.

Dark Olive would be my choice, but it is entirely subjective.

Jet Green for the win ? Think I saw that Turbo S being delivered at my OPC a few years ago….great looking car. Although I do really like Forest Green too….

Personally, prefer colours that are easy to maintain and still look good when dirty.

I’d throw in Brewster for a good flat colour - but I think I’m feeling more jingle jangle , sparkle sparkle smile

It is without doubt the classy shout - really nice colour

Basically it’ll either be Jet , Amethyst or Dark Olive Metallic - at least I’m done to three smile
