Diplomatic plates?

Are the reg plates "xxx D xxx" (obviously x are numbers) diplomatic plates?

Are they given to all embassy cars or what, do they make you immune to traffic wardens, gatso's, traffic police etc?

Hm, the idea of hiring a couple of mercenaries to take over an Island for me is sounding better every day

Here’s the plan (for any investors or big blokes)

Choose Island, preferably somewhere hot with nice roads

Take over said Island

Rename it Sex island (So we can go to ICANN and ask for .sex as a real TLD, make lots of money)

Set up London embassy in my flat

Diplomatic licences, reg plates and immunity to all Piston heads members

Back on Sex Island all speed limits abolished (replaced with "drive at fastest safe speed conditions allow"), police assigned to sort out burglary, rape, murder etc (except Madcop who will oversee aforementioned law), natives kicked out, and insurance banned.
