this kind of follows on from a previous post:

i left home and took one of my parents freeview boxes with me.
to retune it i need to "store channels" but to do that i need the parental code.
but my parents say that they never put a code on that box.
so my question is:
is there a default code, or perhaps a standard overide code for freeview boxes so that i can finally retune it?

i have tried all the obvious ones (0000, 1234 etc) but still to no avail.

any help?

it should be 4 digits from the old ondigital card number - can't remember which 4 digits exactlly. Try removing the old card and rebooting with no card in it.
