Alan Hansen Suits and other Celebrity Product Promos
Discussion
In the mid 1990s I remember Liverpool Legend and Match of the Day pundit having his own range of black suits pedalled though Kays or Littlewoods Catalogue.
Yet I can find no evidence of this ever actually happening and no one else seems to remember, I've even tried contacting the man himself!
So anyone else remember this and whats the oddest celebrity product endorsements that spring to mind

I had a Keegan's Kicker soap on a rope for Christmas (around '81 I guess). Kept it boxed and in pristine condition for a quarter of a century and multiple house moves.
2007 comes along and I decide to use it. Why keep the thing? No later than a month after using it we visit Cornwall for a holiday, and happen upon Trevarno Gardens.
Home to, I kid you not, a soap museum.
That bar of Brut soap, in the shape of a footy boot could have lived out its days there. I was tearful.

Petrol station next to work sells water softener crystals with the strap line “the only water softener endorsed by Jimmy White” and a picture of the snooker legend
Not seen one of these trucks for a while but they always make me imagine Alan Partridge saying "I know for a fact that Steve Davis got a conservatory out of them."Mallard126 said:

There was an ex police chief who I think was from Yorkshire who advertised IIRC Nationwide Sun Awnings. Sitting in a deckchair with a paper. IS that the one you're thinking of? Again, must've had a freebie, or perhaps the business owner was a pal from the lodge.
It was John Stalker.https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/feb/17/jo...
