Yep - I had a polo too - parked it next to the River Wear one day in '94 and it floated away when the banks burst. I got it back & let out all the water by opening a door (cartoon style) & it started first time. Bloomin vw's eh? mind you, it stank for weeks... sorry can't remember fuel capacity - I'll get me coat.

Remember workin for a well known news lot and they covered the floods in North Wales a good few years ago. Picture the scene, H2O everywhere and they decide to drive through a "puddle". Arrive back at our truck to play out footage and open volvo doors and some "puddle" comes out, rest is swashing around inside that can't make it over the footwell.
Not related to this post so I'll get me mac and wellies.
Who knows the fuel tank capacity of my newly acquired runabout: 1990 1.3 Country Volkswagon Polo??
I know it's not a TVR topic but I know the fuel tank capacity of Griffs already!!!
Thanks for your help.

So stop teasing - what's the prize? And when can you deliver it to me?

There's your problem - 4.54 litres to a gallon (not 4) - so you both have a 45 litre tank. Earlier Polos had a 40 litre tank but it was increased in size during the late 80's.
