Afternoon

I live abroad and one of my favorite foods is Colemans mustard. My Mum sent me some powder to mix with water and make mustard but it just seems to lack something compared to the readymade jars. Am I doing something wrong?? Any secret ingredient to get the mix right?

Taken from their website-

1 tsp. flour
1 tbsp. cold water
1 tbsp. Colman’s Dry Mustard Powder
½ tsp. sugar
¼ tsp. white vinegar

Mix and use on everything!!

I sometimes mix it with white wine.

The powder is much punchier than the ready made jars.

My Dad would always insist on using rum rather than water, or vinegar, or anything else.

Mix it up and leave it for an hour or so to develop the flavour.

It is, but you definitely need an addition of sweet and sour flavours so that is not too one dimensional.
