can anyone offer any advice? im a bit stuck!
Following on from my 'which V8' thread, ive now bought an RV8 and box and am just sorting out slotting it into my capri. Ive solved all the issues so far but the one thats still got me scratching my head is how to keep the capri cable clutch cable and make it work with the rover hydraulic clutch. Ive spoken to the company im buying some more bits from and they do do a conversion kit though im baulking somewhat at the £175 cost of thier conversion (which im assuming puts a master cylinder on the capri pedal).
does anyone know how on earth i can pull this off without shelling out the best part of two hundred quid? the trouble is that unless i can bin the hydraulic system entirely im still looking at £80 for a clutch master cylinder + about £30 for some sort of lever sysytem to make it work with the cable.
Should i just bite the bullet and send the man his money?
As ever, all advice gratefully recieved!

I'd say you need to make up some sort of bracket that replicates the Capri arrangement for holding the outer of the cable, bolted onto the bellhousing at a suitable point, and modify the clutch operating arm to connect to the inner of the cable.

go ask on the V8 forum.
www.v-8.org.uk/forum/

There are a few guys with Capris there

I dont understand why you are loking at £80 for a master cylinder, when a new Wilwood type is only about £30.

Do a bit of fabricating on your pedal box, mount a master cylinder with remote reservoir, and plumb it up.
Personally I dont like any of these cable-linkage-hydraulic setups one bit. They do seem to work, but are a bit messy.
