Machine polish now or wait?
Discussion
One of our cars came back from the dealership today. They had left the technician's grubby paw marks on the interior - at least we know which bits he attended to. They had also courtesy washed it, using a rotary sander and some gravel. Marring everywhere.
Anyway, I am torn. shall I get our detailer in now to machine polish it? Or shall I get at it with some filler polish and leave the machine polishing till summer?
What would you do?
Complain to the dealer.
I was in a similar position a few years ago. To their credit, they arranged for the car to visit a local bodyshop for a full machine polish. Being picky, a detailer would have done a better job but it was a massive improvement and the minimum gesture I would accept.

For a couple of reasons I don't want to do that. Not least because the dealer is 1.5 hours away and I don't want them taking the car back (again) to sort it out.I was in a similar position a few years ago. I will get our detailer to do it, it is just a matter of when.
