Have received a retro Macbook from circa 2008 and it only has Windows installed on it. There is no Bootcamp so is there any other easy way to restore the Macbook to factory settings in order to use it with Mac OS again? TIA

You'll need a Mac OS DVD or an installable USB to reload the OS. Unfortunately internet recovery will only work on the slightly newer models.

Thought as much. Tried to make a bootable USB drive with the software but Im trying to get Snow Leopard for that old school feel but can't seem to get a copy onto a USB stick for some reason.

Does the MacBook have a superdrive (optical drive)? I can let you have an install disc for 10.5.6 Leopard

Hi Mike that's very kind of you. Popped into an Apple store this morning and they are so helpful, they reinstalled a fresh copy of the software on the laptop with no questions and at no charge. Honestly such good customer service. I can use my old Macbook 2010 for personal stuff now with my iCloud account all set up.

Thanks again for the offer.
