Small, 5 doors with memory seats

We currently use an e61 525 for the school run. Lovely and comfortable but also big and thirsty. We’ve been pondering getting something smaller and more frugal but there are a few creature comforts that we’d value quite highly. One is memory seats ideally off the key. This seems to rule out most small cars but maybe there are things I haven’t thought of. For size anything from a vw up would work for us. The smaller the better.

Key requirements:

5 door hatch
Memory driver seats
Frugal but petrol, electric or petrol hybrid not diesel

Nice to have:

Heated seats
4x4

I think some versions of the Merc A-Class & related Infiniti Q30 have memory seats, with per-key settings. The Infiniti is also available with petrol 4wd.

I suspect you'll find quite a few more recent cars in this class had them as a rarely-specified option, so you'll spend a lot of time squinting at photos trying to look for the buttons. But such cars do exist.

I went in a Merc GLA (around a 2017 age) with memory seats.

Small Lexus like an NX300 maybe?

Cheers both. Some good options there to consider. I spotted that V40's sometimes have memory seats too so will look at those. Ideally we'd be a size (or two!) down from these cars but I guess that's probably rules out memory seats completely. I was hoping it may have been an option on something like an A1 or smaller Mini but doesn't look like that is the case.

I think it’s A classes with the premium plus pack that come with memory seats, if that helps! 1 series was available with memory seats, but outside the 135/140 I’m not sure that many would have been specified with them as they were pricey. Likewise our MINI Clubman could have been specc’ed with them, but at £800odd I didn’t bother, even though I ticked most of the other options!

Lexus CT200h with the leather upgrade has 8 way adjustable drivers seat with 3 memory positions. Heated too.
