Anyone used these Toyo Proxes R888 tyres on their cars yet? Can you guys give me any feedback on tyre life, dry and wet grip. or will i be the first.
Cant really justify spending so much on Pirellis or Michelins.

If I did get them they would be for track use only.
thanks....

Thought I'd bounce this one, I'm interested as well.

I liked the performance of Yoko A048Rs on an old Pug 205, and quite fancy slapping silly tyres on the Porker (I have a set of proper winters for the winter months, after a mental drive to the Swiss Alps last year).

However don't really fancy paying the Pirelli / Michelin prices.

Are the Toyo's N rated (purely for insurance reasons)??

I had the R888s on my Evo MR 340.. car was nicely modded, running 380bhp/370 ftlbs, full Cusco race coilovers and uprated Brembos + assorted strut braces etc.

The R888 were the icing on the cake, fantastic grip, as good as a Cup tyre.!

Everybody on the MLR was telling me that on track, they would have a very limited shelf life, but after 2 trackdays (Brands Indy + Snetterton) they were not even half way down.

Tyre life is really down to driver input, if you are smooth with braking, turn in and exit.. you can really save your tyre wear, as well as being faster on lap times.

I would highly recommend the tyre, just wish they made 19s.. for the CSL

Cheers
Rob

Thanks Guys, i am going to fit a set and will give feedback as time goes on. Dunlop SSR are being phased out or are now hard to get hold of so i want to try something different. As for them N rated, i would say that they are not. But for track purposes thats not an issue.
