A little televisual nostalgia.

I wasn't sure where to put this so I thought I'd stick here, where folk are most likely to remember these adverts. Times have certainly changed.

I’m a bit disappointed they didn’t include my favourite Audi Quattro advert. “Roger, it’s your mother on the phone.”
That Audi Quattro advert was an absolute belter - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upVQ1gEyT9Y Geoffrey Palmer perfect voice over. Apparently the Quattro was driven by Malcolm Wilson in a blond wig!Dapster said:

Am I odd because I really want that Cavalier LX, in that colour? In all honesty, I think the SRi version of that car and the 24 valve Senators were the last Vauxhalls I ever really lusted after.
Vauxhall actually got the 1980s right. Consider what they ended the 1970s with:Chevette
Cavalier Mk1
Viva
Carlton
Senator / Royale
etc
By the end of the 1980s they had:
Nova
Astra Mk1 & Mk2
Mk2 & Mk3 Cavalier
Mk2 Senator
Calibra
...all of which were well up to the standards of the time, and ahead in some cases (Cavalier vs Sierra?).

The tele is a 1974 Bush 21"; I know, I was just earning enough to buy my first colour set! And has anyone noticed that the screen shows 88 mph in the top right corner? And of all my cars of that era can someone bring me a Cavalier SRi please?
I did, yes. Although I didn’t recognise the TV. My parents bought our first colour tele in ‘73, but buggered if I can remember what it was.
